Sleeping Beauty and the Children of Kythe

"Most of our batchmates, family and friends were happy to give rather than watch...nice way to share :-) " Myra Castillo

The selling of tickets for Sleeping Beauty started months before the show date. Little by little, we were selling seats, at a snail's pace. Until one day, someone had the bright idea of selling tickets to people who wanted to treat children with cancer, to a lovely day out!

In 2 days, the tickets were sold out!

The problem of filling seats was a thing of the past. Everyone bought at least 2 tickets (1 for a child with cancer and the other for the guardian). We invited the children from Kythe Foundation - "This is a foundation that helps children who have cancers, especially the young ones. They also help the parents how to handle this kind of situation and make the kids feel what the real life should be."

It was a lovely day for the children. A merienda treat at Jollibee ended the day with smiles on the faces of the children and everyone that helped out.

Thank you to the family and friends of SSCHS 86 for sponsoring a seat
to Repertory’s Sleeping Beauty for the kids of Kythe Foundation. Indeed it was a day of “Healing through simple sharing and togetherness"

A cash donation will also be given by the batch to Kythe Foundation.
