Tuesday Night with The Girls

We've got 282 days to go before our homecoming. And that's why we are working so hard to get things done. The days are going by too fast.

Last Tuesday's meeting seemed to be full of good news...

...We've got a little more money coming in but we still don't have enough...so help! Please? :-) Feel free to write your class representatives if you have referrals / sponsors in mind. There is a letter that's been well crafted and it's readily available for you. All you need is to let us know.

...Coming soon is Sex and the City. Tears for Fears is happening even sooner! (See you all on May 2!!!) There's also a book project in the works. But this deserves a separate post. Little Women, I just learned, will be performed by the original traveling cast and just like Sleeping Beauty, is a musical. The core group also got a peek at the revised St. Scho Swatch Watch! It's looking really good! (We're aware that a lot of you are interested in purchasing one. We promise to share the details of how to purchase one once everything is made final.)

...We also have more themes that have come in. A total of...drum roll please...3! These ones are worth sharing with you all!

"25 years WE LOVE" or "25 Years and Loving It" or "25 Years and Loving Life"

I thought of these themes because of its very positive vibe.  It's like 25 years of loving people, life, health, relationships, sports, God, our jobs, families, friends, Our past, present, and future, etc. It's also very general and applies to all, working or stay at home moms. It connotes enjoyment of life and making the best out of it.  It implies success too. It implies a continuous process of success and fun in life.  It's all about having fun too in everday life, despite its ups and downs.  It talks about the past we loved and enjoyed and the future we are about to love...

Thank you, Mariel, for sharing this with us.

We know there are a lot more theme suggestions floating around. We need them all in soon. So please write in via email or leave a comment.

This is all we have for now. Plus a few pics below taken during our last meeting.

The Women from When We Were Little Girls

There are women from our childhood that will always be alive in our hearts - there's Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy from Louisa May Alcott's, Little Women. And there's also Sleeping Beauty. Does anybody know her name?

Get to know more about these women all over again when our batch sponsors matinee shows for these classics with Repertory Philippines.

A Few Words (and Money) From Our Sponsors

This blog has been quiet for some time, but it doesn't mean that nothing has been happening. Behind the scenes, the core group has been working doubly hard to make our homecoming a success.

First off, Sex and the City this June. It'll be a big girls night out with all of you around. So please come. We'll share more details once everything is finalized.

Next, we have sponsors! Lots of them. And with sponsors comes money! Thank you to all of you that have been working so hard to get these sponsors. Here's what we have so far...drum roll please...130,000 bucks! Thank you so much to:
~ Piandre
~ Rolex
~ Greenbelt
~ Collezione
~ Trinoma
~ Girbaud / Body Shop

And thank you so much to Acy Legarda for all the help she has extended to our batch.

Cross your fingers for there are other sponsors we are waiting to hear from. We will also let you know how those partnerships pan out.

We've also made a good amount from the sale of 104 Tears for Fears tickets. The tickets that were shared with us by La Salle are sold out! So thank you, too, La Salle, for those sought after tickets.

Thank you, too, for the pledges! Some Scholasticans living abroad have come home for short visits and made time to add to our homecoming fund.

We've had a slow but great start. There's more work to be done and we still need everyone to help support us in anyway they can. Even just suggesting a theme (hint! hint!) for the homecoming is a great way to get involved :-)

We'll keep you all posted and please share this post with all the batch 86 Scholasticans out there.

Let's give those that have been working so hard a big round of applause please. Applause! Applause! Thank you, ladies!
